The great Corvette tech Elvis torn it apart and found........ Wait for it a broke cam shaft. WTF right! Yes my stock cam in my 05 ls2 just broke. What a freakin morning.

Really not buying that it magical broke.
Either lack of oil to cause it to bind at the back of the motor (back seized with the timing chain was spinning the front, or a lifter went south to cause too much pressure against a lob to snap it that way.
Don't know, and it could have been something as simple as a cheap Oil filter that sent paper parts through the system to block an oil passage to cause the mess.

"In honor of jpee"
Just read the MBPi site and unless you have the one plan that doesn't cover the engine, I think the only thing they could come and check for is to see if the engine was modified. Otherwise, their plans seem to cover it, anything that is in the engine and "...internally lubricated." Good luck with it.

Well that's a nice upgrade from an 05 to a 13 GS. Enjoy the new GS, they look badass and you get the excellent ls3. Hopefully if was a fair deal for you trade and all.
