They are waiting on two patents to come through, so uncertain timing but they have been waiting for a bit so hopefully soon. Most of the tooling is done too. Hopefully we see something in the next 2-3 months.

Why not enter the market with 'patent pending' status? That is done all the time. They still have protection from the time they requested the patent(s). To me, it seems this is either just a lame excuse to cover up something else, or they don't know much about patent laws.

I mentioned that on post #47. I suspect production problems, since documentation is not a valid reason to put this type of product on hold. Most likely the prototypes were created with a 3D printer, but the production tooling is not getting the same result.

I made a mistake once of introducing a new product with a prototype before the production models were 100% ready to roll. It cost me an estimated $3M in sales and a $400K loss when the company I invested in went BK due to severe delays. It was a really hard lesson in marketing.

The design originals were/are, Vararam confirmed this. They embraced 3D printing early and created a number of design concepts that got shelved in favor of something found to work superior.

VRX manifold

Update 10/16/2015

We know the internet has been burning up waiting on information on the VRX manifold.

Hear is the latest:

Several Patents have been filed covering the design and function on some parts of the VRX Manifold. We have received “some” but not all of our Patents at this time. We are currently waiting on the final Patents. We expected these some time ago but unfortunately there is no way to rush the Patent office. Our Patent Attorneys have been able to confirm that the final Patents are currently under review and we expect them to be confirmed and in place shortly.

Once we have the final Patent confirmations, VR will release Videos, independent test data etc...

Production:

We have already started on the production tooling to reduce production lag time. Some of the tooling has already been completed.

They are making some serious claims about this product. I hope it does what they say.
I have a plan to buy the manifold and their headers as a package as soon as the manifold is proven and available for purchase.

I'm in the process of building a 402 and currently have a FAST 90. It would be nice to maybe add the VR IM before my build is complete....like you said if it's proven and available.

Any guesstimate on the final cost to the consumer? HP increase on a stock LS3? Toying with the notion of supercharging, but this might be pretty co if it comes out soon. Thanks.

I've been in touch with them. Expect a release with dyno charts before X-mas.

Sounds good! Have they dropped any indication about the price? I imagine $2-$3k since the FAST is $1k..

That would be nice but I'll believe it when I see it. It could make a nice addition to my build.

They have not indicated any price but I think $2-3K would result in essentially NO sales, I know I wouldn't buy one for that and I want one badly. It should be competitive with the competitors pricing even though it's expected to be a superior product.

I have a minor build up of my car planned and I have been holding off awaiting this part, well and for my coated headers to arrive.

One of my granddaughters has given me 2 great-grandchildren between today and the original post and the second one is 6 months old next week.

One business error I made (and I made several) was to introduce a product that had started production before the very first one was complete. There was a 3 month lag and that cost me a lot of customers.
