Help!! a/c head display flash on and off ???

Usually an indication the unit is dying. Might continue intermittently for days, weeks or months but it will die and it usually happens at the very worst time for you. You need to replace it. New head units are about $350 (ish) from vendor gmpartshouse.com. You might be able to find new or used ones online for less. Changing it is like changing the radio, the console has to come off but then it's PnP.

It could be a warning - hook up the TECH 2 and look for error codes before throwing parts at it. In the C4 world, that's what a blinking LED means.

NO.

Too much history with this in C6's here. It is a dying head unit.

You haven't looked there in a while, have you? Add $100 to that figure.
