Default ECS Small Blower Cam picks up 41whp in N/A LS2

Hey everyone! I just want to give some feedback about my recent cam swap. First, the numbers.

My Car:

2007 LS2 6 speed.

Before Cam:

Vararam CAI
ARH 1-7/8" w/cats
Corsa Sport

384whp/382wtq

After cam:

ECS Small Blower Cam

425whp/399wtq

I'm very impressed with this cam. It's super mild and very daily driveable. I'm very happy with the numbers considering that I still have the stock LS2 intake manifold. Very flat torque curve. Drivability is stock. My car is idling at 750 rpm, and there is a tiny bit of shake, but if for some reason I'm not in the mood for lope, I can turn on the A/C and it stops loping. Awesome.

Just goes to show that you don't need a gigantic cam to make gains!

Idle video:

Nice gains. Are you planning on going supercharged?

Yep. That won't be anytime soon, though. I wanted to have a bit more power to play with while I waited. Plus I got my 8-rib ATI balancer installed for free with the cam install.

Well, ECS doesn't give the specs out. To be honest, I'm not sure why they don't. They aren't very crazy or unconventional. Obviously they work, though.

Out of respect for ECS, I won't post their specs.

Added an idle video. That's about as much as I can get the car to lope. lol

Sounds real nice....that cam is just itching for some ported heads and intake to work with. I think my girlfriend is going to go cam/heads,intake,TB/exhaust/tune pretty soon. Might just go with one of those.

How much does the cam cost...?

What does all this cost?
Vararam CAI
ARH 1-7/8" w/cats
Corsa Sport

Trying to get an idea of what she will have to put into her 2011 GS.....

Thanks.

Well, I got the cam installed for $1750 installed and tuned.

The other bolt-ons were more expensive.

Headers: $1,850
Corsa: $1,300
Vararam: $350

With a 2011 GS, the rules are a little different. First, the car probably has dual mode exhaust, which means there's no need for the Corsa unless you really want it. The car has a good intake filter and manifold, so headers would be the only thing needing an upgrade.

With the right heads/cam/headers on an LS3, you're going to be making a lot more power than my car is.
