Default New Ignition Wires = Big Improvements!

Last weekend I replaced the OEM wires on 2007 with a 10mm OML wire kit. I hoped to improve the rough idle I was experiencing.

What a transformation!
Smooth Idle and the acceleration is more responsive and smooth. Also the fuel mileage has improved! The deterioration of the high-tension wires is so gradual that the improvement was surprising.

Don't put this off if your oem wires are over 5 years old.

Amen! Just replaced mine at 35k. Plugs and wires. 2009 Base. Best it has ever run, smooth idle, and now chirps the tires in 2nd and 3rd.

I've been thinking about changing mine. They are original and 9 years old. Where did you get the OML's? Ebay?

Yes, came with the di-electric grease as well.
I'm very satisfied with the product.

I sent a message asking if they really wanted $940 for a set of plug wires. It'll be interesting their response.

Thanks EVRose.
I'm sure you'll both like them, they are very fairly priced and well put together. The OCD side of my personality really appreciated how the "OMD" logo on the spark plug boot is level when you have the angle of the boot at the coil end set in the right place.

Default Wrong size wires??

Grok,

Because of this thread, and how great they look and seem to perform, I bought the same yellow wires from the same vendor on Ebay. Only problem is, they look to be about 2x longer than they need to be, with the yellow part much longer than it looked in the picture:

If I install these, I'm afraid there will be too much excess yellow wire that would be at risk for hitting my header pipes.

Before I contact the seller and possibly look like an idiot, do the wires in my photo look longer than the ones you got?

Compared to the installed picture Grok posted yes yours look longer.
I just looked at the picture of the ones I ordered and they are shorter than those too.

They were 9" overall. Those do look long. I'm pretty sure the seller will help sort out the error. Lets us know how it goes.
