Flimsy plastic around starter hits headers
2006 LS2 with 1-7/8 LG longtubes.
I recently reinstalled my mufflers and now my headers are hitting the flimsy plastic junk around the starter when starting out driving at low rpms..
Does anyone know if I can just trim back the plastic, or cut off a section of it without harming anything for more clearance?

Just trim it.

Melting Slicks
if you have a manual, i found that removing the inspection covers to the flywheel behind the starter and oil filter helped blow the excess clutch dust from inside the bellhousing.
