Default Bose Amplifier Issues

Hey all. I have a 2009 3LT with 32k miles on it. On a recent 3 hour trip, I noticed a weird distortion and popping sound from all speakers towards the end of the journey. I was out of the car for a couple of hours and then when I restarted there were no issues on my next 1.5 hour ride.

When I made the 4.5 hour return trip a couple of days later, the stereo lost all sound. The next morning, all was back to normal.

I am fairly certain my Bose amp is the culprit. My question is if this is an issue with the amp relay, the amp itself, or something else. I have searched the issue on the forum, but have not seen any actual solutions.

The amp is going out... remove it or replace it. I removed mine and did a speaker upgrade as well. The audio section can help you with the install.
