Zo6 manifolds or headers ?
have ZO6 exhaust on my 08 LS3 Z51 and am thinking of installing some long tubes, would there be much advantage over the Zo6 exhaust ? have searched the threads, but see nothing along this line.
Thanks

Depends on your end goals, power, mods, etc. If you have nothing but intake and manifolds, probably not. Heads/cam, probably worth it. Blower or other power adder, yes they are worth it.

I went from 422 both hp/tq ( with stock 3:42 rear ) to 407 rwhp and 394 rwtq ( with newly installed 4:10 rear end ) added. Loss of 15hp and 18 tq.
Figure maybe 10 hp loss from gear change and the tq took a bigger hit but most of it was the loss of the long tubes, they are torque monsters. The hp difference was minimal at 5 and the tq was where you lose the power with the switch.
Car was tuned with both systems.
For the record the car at 800 miles new did 375/382 then with a tune only showed 400/400. Both of these was with the stock differential.
So you get a idea. The gear change kinda complicates things. From my search at 400 hp figure 10 hp short in the reading. Tq was never mentioned.
Longs tubes really add tq.
BTW the gear change has been my favorite mod.

I recently put the ZO6 exhaust on my 08 coupe. I kept my over the axle stock NPP set up. I have a vararam cai and had Pete at VMAX CNC port my throttle body. Car still has not been tuned but runs great.
I really like the way the exhaust sounds now and it is apparent it is breathing a lot better then stock. I can definetley notice a nice little power gain with basically stock corvette exhaust. Well worth the small investment in time and money.

I like it for mine and hopefully you will too. You may want to check out sending your throttle body to Pete at V Max. I had a noticable throttle improvement and with the LS3's, (from what I have been told) being a little rich from the factory, the extra air with the CNC'd TB balances it out nice. It was only $150.00, one of the best and cheapest mods in my opinion. All while still being basically stock.
Good Luck

been nosing around on TB also.

Initially had the long tubes at 422/422 then installed the 4:10 gear set up and then switched out the manifolds too the Z06 all the while using Corsa Sport exhaust.
Went to 407/394 with Z06 gear and the newly installed 4:10's.
Most figure 10 hp loos when running the gears on the dyno. Tq I am not sure of.
So maybe 415 ish with Z06 manifolds and H pipe with tune.
I was 400/400 with tune only at 800 miles on car. 375/382 stock at 800 miles.

Melting Slicks
Gears...
Just my experience, I made 643 wheel hp with stock 3.47 gears installed 4.10 and whp reduced to 586 I was specting more power instead I lost why? cause gear reduction reduces resistance.

The long tubes really help in the torque dept.
The Z06 manifolds add hp over the LS3 unit but fall short in the torque gains seen with the long tubes.
The Z06 addition is great for cars needing to pass emissions. A used set up is a lot cheaper than long tubs but the torque gains will not be as much as the hp gains as seen with the long tubes.
The sound will increase too which is a plus in my book.

Little bit louder with Z06 manifolds, but nowhere close to what LTs will do with NPP.
