Default help!!! fuel pump/sender problem

So my buddies car has the fuel sender B code. He got a the sensor for the passenger side. I pulled it out and swapped it... Now for the problem.

We waited till car was less than half full so that passenger tank would be empty. When I went to start it the passenger tank filled up emoting the driver and now car won't start. What could cause this issue???

Wrong pump. Take your VIN # to the dealer and get the correct pump!

You did not get the crossover tube, and/or the fuel lines inside it, properly connected back together with the fuel tank.

I ran in to this same issue when changing out both fuel level sensors. On the first attempt the car would not start and all fuel pumped from the driver's side in to the passenger's side. I went back and made sure I carefully reconnected the crossover tube and fuel lines. The car started right up after that.

Good luck and be careful not to break the tabs in the crossover tube that hold the fuel lines in position.

There are a lot of orings/etc. Make sure the crossover tube is seated correctly, and when reinstalling the new sensor, nothing got pinched, or messed up.

I have removed and reinstalled the cross overtube probley 10 times, still same issue as 1life said. I will again pull it out and check the tube. starting to wonder if it came loose from the driver side even though I did not mess with that side.
