Default Power Reduction message.

So I have a 07 with about 30,000 miles on the clock. Took it out this weekend to the grocery store and didn't get out of the neighborhood before it totally shut off and a message that said "Power Reduction" popped up on the display. Got it started and stalled 3 more times getting it to my driveway. Had it towed to the dealership and they called today saying they weren't sure what was wrong and to quote the tech, some "your car is doing some "Freaky $hit". So frustrated because its only and occasional driver and is it perfect shape. Any idea what could be the problem?

I have no idea what they've done so far. I put a new battery in it though back in June.

Hey CPD2679,

Sorry to hear you've experiencing a "Power Reduction" message on your 07. I can understand your frustration with such a well maintained car. I can't promise anything but I would like to assist in any way I can. Feel free to PM us with your name, contact info, and the dealership your Vette is at and we can look into this for you.

Thanks,

Jeff M

Check your plug wires, sounds silly but cures 70% of these issues...

even tho you bought the battery back in june has it been on a tender since you installed it?
I would at least make sure the battery has a complete charge prior to letting the dealership commence to throwing parts at it at your expense.
