Default ? Shops in Albuquerque area

Fairly new to the C6 world and was wondering if anyone knew of shops in the Albuquerque area that specialize in corvettes.

Heard mixed things. For tuning/high HP I would goto Sean, for basic bolt ons/etc any shop with 1/2 a brain can do that. It really depends on what you want done. If it is a blower/n2o/turbo/etc I would go with Solidtech, if it just some mufflers and a CAI, find a buddy and bring a 12 pack of beer and go at it.

The ONLY people I allow to work on my Vette work at Scotty's Southwest Corvettes. Honest, good work. Known Scott for 14 years.

BTW: We have a weekly Cars and Coffee every Saturday morning 8AM till whenever. On Jefferson, south of Paseo Del Norte at the strip mall with Hello Deli, Starbucks, etc. Usually 40+ cars, lots of Vettes. Join us.

I know that Scott has been working on Vettes forever ... I had him do some work on an 81 many years ago when he was part of Speed Dreams that was located off of Comanche and was very pleased with the work he did and the prices he charged but I can't help getting the impression he's more old school not that there is anything wrong with that. Currently I'm looking at going with some LG long tube headers with off road X pipe so I'm sure he'd be a good source for that. As far as forced induction (somewhere down the road) and tuning goes I'm not sure if he's the one for the job ... does he have a dyno on site?
Thanks for the heads up on the get together on Saturday morning I may head down there ... what are you driving? I have a 2012 Cyber Gray GS.

I've been wondering the same thing as well. I'm down south in Las Cruces but have been thinking of driving to either Tucson or Phoenix because I have not heard of any shops closer. This is my first Corvette and it has some mods already on it so I'm just looking for a good dyno tune.

There is 3-4 tuners I would trust in ABQ over anyone in Arizona.

I stopped by on Saturday morning and was impressed with the vehicles that showed up anything from a Steel 33 to some brand new corvettes so It'll probably become a weekly thing if time allows ... thanks for the heads up.

He has done many, many forced induction Vettes. He has another friend of mine do his tuning, John Wydra. He did my tune. He street tunes then uses the best dyno in town, Dyno Edge, for final clean up.

I'm driving the 2007 Velocity Yellow Z06. I'm usually parked by the bank building. See ya this weekend, say Hi.

No he does not do tinting. There's better Corvette installers in Albq than Scott IMO. Begin a GM tech and seeing his work he wouldn't touch my Vette's or my friends...

I had a horrible experience with a local Speed shop with the install of my ECS supercharger kit. So I turned to Sycho Tuning owner David Regis to help fix the mess created with the other shop. David Regis is TOP NOTCH. He know Vette's inside and out. Has a dyno, shop and proven track record of fixing/installing everything imaginable on vettes. Let me know if you want his info.
