Default mantic or monster twin disc clutch

Hoping to get some feedback and opinions from members with experience with either of these clutches. I'm considering either a mantic 9000 twin disc clutch or monster twin disc clutch for my 2013 grand sport 6 spd with A&A s/c (630 rwhp). Both will support up to 1000 hp/tq and boast good street manners compared to stock. There are many opinions on the Web about mantic (mostly good) but it's hard to find opinions on monster. Pros/cons of each? Which one is most like stock feel for stop and go traffic? Chime in with your thoughts!

I bought a Centerforce Dyad after driving two cars with it. Very happy with the combo of Dyad twin disk clutch, Tick master, one piece pressure line and bleeder.

The mantic has slightly more pedal effort but other then that its like driving with a stock clutch.

So do you mean slightly more pedal effort compared to stock clutch? Have you experienced and more noise or chatter?

Yes compared to the stock clutch. No problem at all driving in city traffic. If I had never driven the car before I would never know it wasn't stock.

There was some chatter right after the install but that is almost gone now as I'm getting a little mileage on it.

McLeod RST or RXT if you plan on drag racing.

Pick a friction material for your use. Organic will have maximum smoothness but will fail under high heat. Ceramic isn't quite as smooth, but will hold heat.

I have a Monster in my GTO.. Not a bad clutch but more pedal effort then the Mantic 9000+ for sure.

Id go Mantic 9000+ over the RXT, but thats just my .02cents

If you plan on staying in that power range the LT1-S twin disc is perfect for want you want, it's rated at 700/700RW and drives exactly like stock.

Here is a recent review of the LT1-S twin disc

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...t-in-here.html

Also we recently put a standard weight LT1-S in a 5 Gen Camaro and posted the dyno numbers here.

Well I good street manners and I drag race. I drove the C7 and loved how soft the clutch effort was. I want my C6 to have that soft of a clutch so I can slip it better off the line. I tried slipping the stock clutch and glazed it over.

<<<@!1!@>>>

The LT1-S is based on the C7 Twin disc, it has fantastic pedal feel and street manners.

Here is a GTO Slipping the LT1-S to get off the line.

All of our clutches work with stock hydraulics as well as the Tick master. Just keep in mind that the Tick master will increase pedal effort and may shrink the engagement window.

Would your stage2 single disc be adequate for a 550 whp LS2 with little or no track time?

Power level will go up to low 700 rwhp range once my engine and transmission are finished (That's why I'm doing the clutch since the engine is out of the car). .. and if I upgrade my fuel system later on (limit 750 rwhp currently) I may bump it up even more later on.

So how much drivability and quietness would I be sacrificing by going with your next level twin disc that will handle 1000hp/tq?

It will work, however keep in mind that it will be pushing that unit so it will have a shorter life span. Depending on how you plan on driving it I would like at the the LT1-S or the level 3 single if you are going to beat on it a lot.

The LT1-SC is rated at 1000RW and is very streetable, the pedal feel is still like stock but the engagement is more aggressive, and do to the nature of the materiel the possibly for chatter is there.

Had my mantic 9000k now for ~6k miles, no issues. Drives great. Making between 900-1100rwhp in that time. Best clutch I've owned.
