Looking for a tuner in the midwest
I live in Eastern Iowa. Need to get with a tuner for my build. I'm going with E85 so need advice on what compression ratio to run and what I need for injectors.
I'm willing to haul the car, getting the tune right is very important to me so I'll sacrifice driving time to get better quality. I need somebody thats got experience with e85 tunes.
Thanks!

Id be willing to swing over if you feel more comfortable with a fellow corvette owner tuning it. But Dan is pretty good with stock ECUs and E85

Not sure if this is out of your road trip range . . . but they're worth the trip. They built my C5, 10.2's - 1.4 60' on DR's, drove it everywhere.
The C6 will be going in Spring 2015, waiting for my warranty to run out.
Ask for Tom (owner)
Good luck!

There are some a little closer, but if you're willing to travel, Doug Rippie Motorsports is w/in the radii of some mentioned on here. Long history of Vette racing and tuning, too. But Tim is correct, you have choices.

I would agree with DSX tuning. I live in Des Moines and had Dave (DSX) do a flex fuel upgrade on my 2005. He did a great job and greatly improved the driveability of my car. It is a 12 hour round trip for me, but I would not take my car any place else to be tuned/worked on.
With Dave tuning and Chad (CBI, LLC) doing mechanical work, I have not found a better place to take my car.

Hands down, Dave Steck (DSX). He can get you squared away with a flex fuel tune.
Do a search on here or on Google for DSTECK and look at all the work he has done with HPTuners, Injector Dynamics, and the pioneering with flex fuel conversions.
Top notch guy and an automotive engineer. He knows the "why" not just the "how".

Wow lots of good stuff here thanks guys. I am really waffling on the e85 part of my build, don't want to change fuel pumps. But so many guys do it without the pump change. Not sure what to do
