Default Rotational Clicking Noise In Dash

I have a 2011 Grand Sport. When I stop at a stoplight, I hear a rotational type clicking noise behind the radio. It is a series of clicks and sounds like a multi disk cd changer changing CDs. The problem happens with or without the NAV CD in the radio and there is no CD in the CD player. After reading some posts, I changed the battery in my key fob but that didn't make a difference. This is not the relay clicking for the brakes.

Anyone know what I'm experiencing?

No I don't, but my 2013 base car had clicking on the RH side - the dealer pulled some error codes and replaced an HVAC controller under warranty. So have someone scan for error codes - you might find the problem ...

So I figured out the noise is coming from the automatic temperature control system. I have either a mode actuator or a blend air door actuator with a broken gear. Now all I have to do is figure out which one is bad.

Read the HVAC DTCs and you will know.

I verified today that it is the Mode door actuator. I was actually able to get to the actuator by removing the glove box and trim. I hope this helps others because until now, I haven't found any information how to remove it on a C6. A few people said that the dash has to be removed but that isn't correct.
