Default radiator support - 2nd time it died ready to diy

Does anyone have a good write or general instructions on replacing the thing? I'm also looking for part numbers for the support bracket and nut serts. I had the dealership do it last time and am not keen on tossing away that much money again...

I did some searching but am so anxious after having
It just break a few minutes ago that I think asking is going one more effective than search through CF on my phone.

Thanks!

Are you going to weld it yourself, or replace it yourself? Can't find it but it may be in the stickys, too. Here's a list of rad support. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...rchid=43903099

Sorry to hear, but the R/R is super straight forward. Definitely do this one yourself. I did not write down the parts numbers but any direct website will get you there, along with service manual pics. Good luck.

I don't have a gas shielded welder so welding al is out. I do plan to fix anything possible myself within reason (driveway on a cold morning will be fun).

From under the car it looks like things like the mounting tabs for the lower bumper section were just bent and some plastic parts got displaced but no where near as bad the 1st time. I might just have to take things apart and loosen others up and refit everything after getting the support squared away.

thanks for the quick replies!

this may sound crazy, but I've never used the product, JB Weld. could it possibly work? I don't know. maybe someone does?

Bracket was bent at a few places by about 1/2" to 1". I tried bending it back but the thing was still off by enough to lead me to buy a new one. Really wasn't as bad to disassemble. The dealership has the part for 325. tomorrow will be a fun day...

As a side note, the riv nuts are crap - you might as well just drill the holes and bond them in because they will always come loose using the regular method.

Just bought one off E-Bay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171491044686...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I ground my frame around the riv nuts and brazed the lip edge of the riv nut to it. Solid,
