Default Pulley down or overdrive?

Hello guys, I have a Procharger D1SC with a 4" pulley...is it safe to go to a smalley blower pulley or would that mean more chance of belt slippage? Or would the better route be to do with a overdrive dampener?

I decided to go with a 10 rib Innovators West 10% UD balancer and a 8 rib 4" blower pulley. I plan on doing the flipdrive later when I go with a smaller pulley.
