Default issue with drivers door window

so when you open the door the window is supposed to drop down to clear the targa roof, which mine does.. However if I leave the door open the window will go back up which prevents me from closing the door without the window hitting the targa roof. It also wont let me roll any windows up or down while the door is open with the ignition on.

Any clues?

For starters, try re-indexing the windows.

If that does not work, disconnect the battery for a few mins to to reset the system, then re-index the windows afterwards.

check the door pad that you squeeze to open the door if that's bad it will make the window act crazy. you could swap the pass one over to try

This is not an intuitive solution, but we know from experience that the door pads are very involved with the indexing of the windows. You can switch left to right in a matter of 10 minutes and get a good test. Do this and then give it a few days of driving and see how things act. If the problem goes away on the drivers door, then open the pad up and clean the contacts.(passenger pad)

When you unplug the pads, be careful to not let the wiring harness and plug fall back inside the door. Retain it in some way.
