Are Camaro ZL1 Heads compatible with a C6 LS3? Do they flow better then ls3 heads? I have a 2012 Procharged LS3 Vette in the shop for a 416 build.

My engine guy recommended LSA heads for my LS3 416 and the ZL1 has an LSA engine, so it should not be an issues.

The LSA heads work great. They require a minimum of a 4" bore so they are fine on the LS3. They are made of a better alloy, have a slightly thicker deck, the rocker bosses are gusseted, and the combustion chambers are smoother than anything else ive seen come from the factory.

Its just a shame that they jacked the prices on them. Two years ago you could buy the bare castings for $350 a set. Now they want almost $800 for them. Guess they realized they had something the aftermarket would want.

My buddy and I hand ported a set and filled them with Ferrea Inconel exhaust / Hollow stem intakes and BTR springs and slapped them on his 408/YSI engine, they work great so far... Just finished their second year making just under 1000whp.

I would recommend the LSA's to anyone looking for a strong budget head.
