g6x3 vs kaotik cam in a LS2 with tfs 225 heads
Looking for some input on cam selection for my new setup since my timing chain broke. I've read a lot about the g6x3 tfs 225 combo. Its a proven setup but some say the g6x3 is very aggressive on the valvetrain. I'm looking to see how the Vengeance Racing Kaotik would compare in performance, reliability and why would you choose one over the other. I've seen that it makes around ~490 in an ls3 but haven't seen any info on it with a ls2 with tfs 225. Basically I guess I'm looking for something to give "g6x3 like" results but easier on the valvetrain. My goal is 500+hp and ~460tq on motor. I chose the kaotik because I live close to them and they will tune the car however I am open to other suggestions.

I run their vrx5 with TF225's, fast 92 and 1/78 kooks, vararam on my LS2. my timing chain didn't break, but my cam gear did. I never cared about dyno numbers but I believe I am in the low 5's ? my valve springs only lasted @ 10k, I was told that sometimes it happens ? I live down the street from Vengeance and they always treated me well.

I've read about aggressive cams having issues since some oil manufacturers have changed there formula. What oil do you recommend to avoid these problems Anthony.
Also are the .650 springs included with tfs heads adequate for the g6x3?

I thinking I'm going to stick with the g6x3. It's just too impressive.

As for oil, Motul and Redline are the only ones use now.
