It will fit, but the steering wheel controls will not work without other upgrades.

You'll need a new clockspring for sure, and quite possibly a 2007-or later radio. I don't believe any C6 radio from 2005-2006 will work with steering wheel controls (SWC), as SWC did not exist until 2007. I had a 2006, and went through a similar upgrade -- couldn't get the SWC to work with my 2006 radio, even though the clockspring and all other wiring was upgraded.

If someone out there has gotten their 2006 radio to work with SWC, I'm sure they'll chime in.

I'm pretty sure you'll need a new radio unit that is compatible, as well as the clock spring and wiring harness.

The 2012 - 2013 steering wheel looks better, if you decide to go ahead and do all that work that would be the one to use, you may as well get a nicer look for all your efforts

No it won't work. That would be entirely too easy if it did.

Besides the wheel and clockspring you will need a 2007+ steering column harness.

Here's a pretty good DIY so you'll know what you're getting into:

I think you got some pretty good answers in your post in C6 Gen.
