Default Shock question

I am just curious, is there a difference between c6 z51 shocks compared to c6 z06 shocks? If so how much difference is there on a Weekend Driver with a once in a while drag pass. Is it worth the it to change over or not.

Pretty big difference. Z06 shocks are quite a bit stiffer. Most don't bother with them though, unless you get them for free or close to it.

If you want a better shock experience, the majority here go with Bilstein Sports or Koni FSD's. If you want a slightly softer ride the recommendation is Bilstein HD's.

I'd agree that the Z51 are not as stiff as the Z06 shocks. Do you have a Z51 currently?

+ 1 for the Koni FSD'd, they are a bit pricey though as compared to the others mentioned..

100%. Oem shocks, whether base, Z51 or Z06 are essentially throw away items. If you are going to spend any money, get something better as stated above.

It also could be that they're originals. How long do you expect to keep it?
