Default New best at Street Car Takeover STL

Very happy with the times. Car is a '10 grandsport m6, d1sc, meth, and fuel system are the mods. This was on hankook evo v12s btw...

I know theres a ton on time to drop with tires. We can also say the same for adding a clutch, cam, exhaust, etc... And how many 10's have you ran on a street tire with minimal mods in a m6 car?

And last time I checked driving 140+ miles one way to a track on street tires is ok.

Exactly... who cares if you got every last tenth out of it? You're not out there snapping axle shafts, spinning clutches, etc by running slicks and over-stressing driveline parts.

I ran a 10.8 @ 139.xx in my C5Z. Yeah, it could run high-9s if I bolted slicks to it. I couldn't care less. It is extremely reliable just like it is, and is as fast as plenty of 9-sec cars on the street in Mexico highway runs.
