Default Are the Z06 shocks and the GS shocks the same shock?

Im in the market to purchase a set of Z06 shocks and now I have a opportunity to purchase a set of GS Shocks off a 013 GS Corvette this Corvette has the dry sump oil system my question : are these shocks off this GS Corvette the same shocks that are found on a Z06 Corvette?
Thanks Boonie

GS is the fancy way of saying Z51 option in a wide body car.

So no, trans verse springs, sways, and shocks are not as stiff as a Z06 car, since the GS does not have the tire grip to support it.

The Grand Sport uses Z51 springs and front sway bar, shares the rear sway bar and front shocks with Z06, and has unique to GS rear shocks.
The GS and Z06 share the same tire size.

to the OP's question, the front shocks are the same, the rears are different.

My 2013 Grand Sport with mag ride has 33 mm front and 31 mm rear sways. Rear sway bar has part number 25796973 on it. Also has FE5 on the same tag. The little bit of reasearch I've done says that the 33/31 bars only come on a ZR1. Go figure on that one.

The standard GS, Z06 and ZR1 all share the same front shock. The rears are different. The only variation to this setup is the Mag Ride Control - which are unique!

IMHO! The Z rears are too harsh..........the HD-3's are better.

My 13 grand sport has 18/19 inch wheels, and I believe z06 has 19/20 inch wheels on a 13 z06.

Only partially correct. The only C6 Z06 that has different size tires than the C6 Grand Sport is the "Z07" optioned Z06's. They share the tires and brakes (and suspension in general) with the ZR1.

You should also have the ZR1 half shafts too, at least my 2011 dry sump GS does.

I think only the GS with the F55 magnetic ride option get the ZR1 half shafts. I know my 2012 GS dry sump (no F55) does *not* have the ZR1 half shafts.

I *thought* I had read that was because the F55 was more susceptible to wheel hop on hard acceleration off the line, but I can't verify that.

Sway bars are exactly the same in Z06 and GS (31mm front, 27.9mm rear).
Tires/wheels are exactly the same (wheels have a different cosmetic appearance, but exact same dimensions as far as diameter, width, offset)
