Thanks Joe. I edited it and added the shift rpm i forgot. looks like i short shifted the 1-2 slightly at 6809rpm.

Well I am grateful and didn't want to ask you all the time for the analysis, they are quick yet still take time to do, subtracting variables and then making the write up. Being familiar enough with what to look for and how to see it helped out for sure. Especially after seeing your few examples. I actually had fun doing to be honest.

Next time out we should see leaps ahead. I feel good about it.

RobZ, Thanks to you and Joe, Ill see you in MIR prepared #9 on the list and can't wait for such an experience

I'm gonna need to get a new grip on the car. it's totally different the way power comes on now it's like it has boost. Only got a couple runs in but it's clear something wasn't right. But that doesn't matter it's all fixed and glad I found someone that could.

gained 7mph on a +2300DA day is that not enough proof?

^^^ Whoa nice improvement! Shifting sounded solid. What did you change to gain that ET and MPH?

32 mph gain in the back half is making some HP.

All in the tune JoeG And launching with a different style similar to yours. Rather than hold 4500-5000 and release clutch....I'm holding 3000ish then wot before releasing clutch.

That horsepower wasn't being delivered as I had suspected. from the very beginning i was disappointing with the Dyno run but was told by you guys the car is making plenty so don't sweat it. I listened, got some very valuable tools and seat time. I'm happy it happened this way. kinda like level 1 to level 2. The car pulls so hard now I don't know if I could have handled it at first. It actually scares the crap out me. 3rd gear feels like it pulls harder than 1st i can't explain. I was smiling all the way home on a 4hr drive It's really a whole other car

Nice going! You bogged a little too much on that launch as I'm sure you know. I'd keep creeping up on the starting point launch rpm maybe 200rpm at a time. It may have stuck enough if you didn't lift but you do have drag radials. Keep at it and quality passes only from now on.

Yup, Rob you're right. this new approach on launching will need to be dialed in. So changing my approach will defending require some seat time but I'm noticing it's benefits and hope to perfect it further more.

Joe I checked out what matters on the Data run so here we are.

Launch rpm was 4862 @ wot and never let go
1-2 shift .245 @ 7300
2-3 shift .299 @ 7200
3-4 shift .245@ 7300

10.57 @ 136.26 with 1.616 60ft @ 2300 DA

oh sorry Joe I didn't answer you

"Did you set your park/neutral rev limiter to 3000 or something? You could use that for a launch control as well I suppose..."

no pedaled it at approx 3000, when the tree starting going I in wot and out at 4862. might have liked 5100-5200 like Rob suggested but it's timing and practice with this method that will get me there. I was thinking maybe doing same method but starting at 3500 so that when I'm out it may be around that target

I'm waiting for a 10.4 to claim my spot on the fast list lol would be top 15

Thank you,
I just can't take full credit of the last pass MPH increases as it's because of the whole new fresh tune. this car is now what it should have been all along. I will get a lower time next time out in better weather as I expect to get a 1.5x 60ft and some way better DA weather.

There was a lot to swallow all at once and it was a little overwhelming. Need to relearn the car a bit.

- easily making somewhere between 30-40 more hp
- New shift points
- New shift technique
- New launch style
- Different track

All that dropped on my lap at once I was sweating and out of my comfort zone to say the least. Stay tuned though lol

You've come a LONG way in a VERY short time James!! Kudos go to you - you got some tips but you, very importantly, LISTENED, ran with it and practiced and accomplished your goals.

You don't owe anybody anything - it's been a joy watching your improve over the very short period of time.

For our next lesson...video editing.....you can cut out the return roads, etc.

Lol thanks Joe, video editing isn't my strong suit. But I wanted to include Seb since he spent all day coaching me yesterday in person and got my confidence at a all time high. I will work on the editing though. Looking for a more user friendly software

My windows machine came with movie maker which is easy. My mac has iMovie which is also pretty easy but not as easy as movie maker for the simple stuff we need to do (which is mostly just snip out boring parts and put in titles).
