Number of camber bolt?
Hi. I have a quick question about the quantity of the camber bolts on the car.
My car came with Pfadt camber/toe kit. I realized that I have extreme toe wear so I need to do alignment soon. Since I don't autox/race this car, I rather put the stock camber bolts back on.
Does the camber bolt goes on both front and rear side of the lower control arms? Meaning 2 camber bolts for each corner? Total of 8 camber bolt kits? Or does camber bolt kits go for just the front side of the control arm and rear side takes regular bolt and nut?
The manual seems to show 2 per each corner. Also, if you guys know if all camber bolts have the same part numbers, it will help since the previous owner gave me 4 bolts so I don't need to search which goes where.
Thanks guys.

Otherwise, the stock eccentric bolts ... there is 1 on each end of the front lower control arms (lca), so 1 front side of driver's side front lca, 1 rear side of drivers side front. Same for the passenger side front lower control arm. So 4 total for the front control arms. In the rear, only the front side of each lower control arm has an eccentric bolt. So just 1 eccentric bolt for the rear driver's side lca, and 1 eccentric bolt for rear passenger side lca. 6 total. If i recall, they are all the same bolt. I still have my stock bolts so i will check them and get back to you. If you decide to convert to stock, get an alignment package from tire kindom or competitor... they charge a couple hundred bucks but they will fix your alignment for free for the amount of years that is specified by the package you purchase. So buy a 5 year package for 250 bucks and you get unlimitted alignments for 5 years. Worth it since the stock bolts tend to slip and mess up your alignment fairly easily.

Hey c6moneypit, thank you so much for your information. $400-600 for the racing alignment is quite a bit for my street car. I bought this car to be my DD so I will not be using for tracking except some occasional autoxing.
I already have 4 kits so I just need to get a pair and need rather quickly so I just went ahead and ordered from the stealership. Appreciate looking into it.
Firestone used to have life time alignment before but now, I don't think there is any that gives that kinda package deal in the bay area. It may be worth looking into it though. I have another autox car and need alignment fairly frequently.
Thanks again.

I hear ya. They charge a ton for those shim style camber kits to get aligned since they spend so much time moving shims and bolting the control arms multiple times. I i double checked... my stock eccentric bolts all look the same and there are 6 total. Take care!
