Default Replacing Battery Cables 2005 C6

Looking to replace the factory battery cables and crap design post connectors. Does anybody have a "how to" write up/video or schematic of where to disconnect the cables from the vehicle?

If you just want to replace the battery terminal then cut the stock one off and replace. Check out the audio sub forum because most audio installs involve changing out at least the positive battery terminal. I really like the stinger hpm series battery terminal and use it on the positive side. I use the factory terminal on the negative side.

what I did was went to walmart and bought a new end, not a lead one but one that goes around the post like spring steel very light weight, it has a single stud to use on a cable eye, so then I cut the corvette factory cable end off with tin snips leaving enough to drill a hole like a cable eye, and put a nut and loc washer on the stud instead of the wing nut, I rounded the area i cut off, i but a block of wood under the hood when drilling the hole and held the cable end that I drilled with a pair of channel loc pliers, have never had another problem with changing batteries or ever coming lose. also when i put the battery in the hatch at a later date I was able to buy the # 2 wire solder the eyes on and just bolt them together up front with no need to replace the cables to the starter, its been 8 years now for that, no problems

True, I changed to my way because the factory one basically sucks I did a lot of changing to different light weight batteries and the brass posts would let the cable end slip up and holding down and tightening wouldn't help not enough clamping movement in that setup
