ls3 intake questions
I know the ls3 intake is pretty good for a factory piece but what are the options for more power? Has anybody done any testing with the Holley high ram? From what I have read the FAST intake really doesnt seem to pick up that much over a stock intake and a stock ported might be as good as the FAST.
Thanks for any info.

Here's a nice read from my good friend JoeG.
I didn't read all through it again, but I'm sure he states somewhere that although he didn't see much on the dyno, the fast intake gave him .20 better at the track and something like 1-2mph trap speed.
I am beginning to understand that I'd rather believe the track then any dyno. You'll notice more power from mid to high rpm

Yes the stocker flows pretty good, the FAST isn't worth the expense on the LS3. If doing a bolt-ons / cam / head mod build your best bet is to send your OEM intake to GPI to be modded. Outright porting really isn't necessary but they do other internal work to the intake to help the airflow. IIRC my GPI modded OEM intake gained 6 rwhp over the FAST intake.
