2006 seats replaced with 2012 seats now no telescoping steering
I just replaced my seats with a new pair of seats that I bought online. They appear to have never been used. I disconnected the battery, bolted them in, connected the battery, started the car and indexed the windows. (I have a convertible if that matters in all this) Now.....
My telescopic steering is not responding at all. I did not do any indexing of it. I read you may have to push it back all the way and then towards me.
The steering works fine except the telescopic part.
At this point, I disconnected the battery again.
Any ideas. Here are some pics. They are really nice seats. I was also at Good-Guys in Scottsdale and say the "restored" vette pictured

The 2012 style seats are so much nicer. They all should have came with those.
I got nothing to help with your issue other than to say I've had my battery disconnected and seats out multiple time and never have had any issues with the telescoping wheel.
Hopefully someone else can help

Guessing new seat modules with the new seats, and they have not been programmed yet.

Sometimes.....the seat module (under the seat) if replaced...needs to be programed to tell it there is a telescoping steering wheel option.
Tech 2 (programming tool) needed to "turn it on".
Good luck.

If I went to a dealership any guess how much they will ask to program it?

I have a 10' GS with the older seats. Where did you get yours from?
