Mamo MSD results!
Hi Guys just wanted to share my results with you. I bought a MSD from Tony Mamo and spent the extra coin to have him port it, the results were amazing!
A little about the before and after:
Before I bought the car this way so please bare with me.... 1 7/8 ARH LT, 3" off road x pipe w/ corsa extreme out back, and a RPM B3 cam with supporting valve springs and exhaust valves replaced. NO porting and NO milling what so ever all running threw a RPS twin disc. with this set up the car put down a what I think is weak but none the less 515 rwhp and only trapped 129 in the quarter.
After all above mods only thing add was the Mamo ported MSD and a TPIS 102mm TB with a re tune on the dyno car made an awesome 562 rwhp with the graph smoothed at 15. But more of a real world gain cause I do not much care for dyno Queens (too many variables) the car picked up 4 mph and I trapped 133 4 back to back passes at cecil county dragway.
Now with the DA getting better as winter is coming the car has made a best of 135.81 mph the thing really picked up seat of your pants power for sure....

Can you clarify?
You had a cammed bolt ons LS3 in a Caddy CTSV (supercharged engine?) that made 515 RWHP?
And with just the addition of a ported intake manifold and an oversized throttle body you gained 47 rwhp?
The car was tuned both before and after I assume?
Is that all correct?
Thanks.

Great results.
Can you show/tell where it picked up over the stock ls7 manifold/tb?
Where do you shift the car?
Thanks

I will work on getting overlapped dyno sheets up so every one can see the overall results!

Sorry, I don't believe the numbers. Just like I didn't believe the 590 RWHP on my car when I saw the dyno sheet. Found out that there was a calibration issue with the dyno. Do I believe you picked up Hp, sure, but not that much. If that info was accurate, MSD intakes would be flying off the shelves, and they are not.
Not here to debate it, just one persons opinion.

Thanks and have a great day
This pass was last Friday with a +900 DA and on a light side my car with me in it is 3377,if heavier only adds rwhp for that trap speed and et in the 1/4 mile so yes with the current set up on my car it is making around 560-580rwhp depending on the dyno......

Get the overlapping dyno sheets? Tony is working on one of these intakes for me right now. Can't wait to see the difference with this and all the other bolt ons on my H/C car!
