Default Suspension-how to determine what I have

I bought a 2007 Corvette Coupe (non Z06). I thought there were 2 types a suspension: 'standard' and Z51.

I had a 2005 with 'standard' suspension and it rode very 'soft'. The current car rides very stiff. Is there any way to tell what suspension I have. Maybe it's just that I've gotten older???

Check your RPO codes:

FE1 Suspension System Soft Ride
FE2 Suspension System Ride, Handling
FE3 Suspension System Sport
FE4 Suspension System Special Ride and Handling C6 Corvette RPO Codes
FE5 Suspension System Ride, Handling, Performance

It's on a label in your glove box. Looks like this:

Or use that same VIN location and look for the Z51 like the 5th column, last row

Thank you both for the info. I checked the glove box RPO and it had FE3 and then Z51 in the 4th column last row.

Is there a link to a listing on how to read the RPO codes? I would also like to know if the car is the original color.

Thanks for any additional help.

On the RPO label the paint is the U code at the bottom. Just Google yours.

I've used this one - http://www.corvette-web-central.com/...teRPOCode.html

Or you can pay a little bit and type in your VIN on CompNine, for $5 you can run 5 VINs. It works for most Chevy vehicles.

HK, thank you. Mine was "80U". I had to go to:
http://www.southerncarparts.com/corv...des-pm-13.html
to find out what that color was--it's "Monterey Red". They list the colors for C5 & C6.
Jesse, thank you also. Unfortunately, my color code was not in the list.

80U was an optional color. $750 to get the Monterey Red. Available in "05,'06,'07.
