And no head work and with stock manifolds.
Might want to look at a Livernois 1C or have Pat G spec you a cam.

I used to have a 224 cam in my Corvette, and no issues, But I wanted a little more, so I bumped up to a 228R ( is not a large cam). I tell guys you can tend to lose some drivability with larger cams, so you can go a little smaller and make it up with a larger manifold and / or heads. Now that tends to cost a little more, but lose nothing on the low end.

On the other side of the coin, Your 4.11 gears will also make up for low end issues

...to avoid lope you need to keep intake duration under 220 and have an LSA that gives more negative overlap...

ive read that the 224r has passed in CA so I'd look at the vrsp1 from vengeance racing. Even ask for a 115 lsa for slight lumpy idle. Don't forget to find some ls7 exhaust too

Good luck!

So are you saying you wish you did not go to the 228R? Just didnt see the conclusion to your swap.... what drivability issues specifically did you notice? I'm just curious if I would be able to live with them...

SPEED SAFE, NICK
