Will a complete 2008 zo6 exhaust , fit on a 2005 auto, not sure about the 3 inch over the axle pipe ?

Ummmm......a qualified yes.

Everything will fit but you will have difficulty getting the 3" pipe past the trans but it is doable. You will have to apply some small amount of metal deformation to the pipe in one or two spots.
