Default B&B Fusion on Grandsport

Anyone on here running B&B Fusion w/NPP setup on a grand sport or base ls3?

Specifically looking to see if anyone is running these with LT's and high flow cats?

I am setup with LT's and O/R X pipe and the drone is unbearable! I can deal with drone but this is a lot! While I know drone is contributed mostly from the mufflers, I'm debating throwing on some high flow cats to tame it just a notch. Barely have 20 miles on them so possibly pulling them off today and selling them. Any feedback is appreciated! Thanks

Thanks, I did see those threads when I searched but nothing on them indicating anyone running the B&B's with LT's and high flow cats. Just the one guy with Z06 manifold/cats. One other has them with headers I believe but not sure if he has a catted system.

On my previous Vette with an LS3, we utilized ARH LT's with cats, cam and B&B Fusions. IMO....there's no better exhaust out there than the B&B's in tandem with the proper set-up.

I posted a vid in this thread if you want to hear what it sounded like:

Perfect! Thanks for the feedback! How was your drone with cats and LT's? Since I don't have cats this exhausts drone is really bad. I don't mind drone but this one is pretty nuts.

My car was set-up for driving the twisty's in the Rockies - but the few times I had it cruising at 65 in 6th gear on the highway there was no issue. Don't remember if it was with valves open or closed, but one of them produced zero drone and the other was very mild.

Really liked the set-up, and Fusions are one of the first things I'm doing to my Z when it shows up next week.

Thanks for the info. I may just experiment with this and throw some cats on and see how it goes. I ran B&B one another corvette a few years ago and it sounded awesome. These Fusions just haven't impressed me yet, granite I barely have 20 miles on them but no wow factor yet.

Is there a big difference in sound between mild and wild on the fusions?

Yes it's pretty noticeable, at least for me it is. At idle it's close to NPP just deeper.

I have PFadt long tubes, Pfadt catted Xpipe, and B&B Fusion on my 2011 Z06 with a mild to wild switch.

With the switch closed the Fusion exhaust is louder than stock but has no drone at all. I can use my bluetooth hands free and talk on my phone with no problems. When I get on the gas and flaps open it gets really loud but sounds so good.

With the mild to wild switch open, the idle and low rpm sound is very very deep and drones real loud inside the car but man does it sound wicked. The pops and bangs on decel and shifting are amazing.

I'm extremely happy with my setup.

the fusions give you a much deeper tone than the stock npp.

Comparing the setup i have now on my blue GS (LT, Hiflow cats, mild cam, blower) to a 2013 gs i had with LT, Hiflow cats, Stock NPP, and large cam), the fusions are not necessarily louder than the stock NPP's. My stock NPP's with the large cam would pop like crazy, and they would rattle your head when opened.

The biggest difference is the deeper tone you get from the fusions, and imo, a much nicer rear appearance with the bigger tips.

my 2013 gs with the big cam....
the NPP's are more raspy.. not as deep as the fusions.
