Default Surprising news from my dealer service. Clutch packs nuked!

Took my car in for srs light as well as a look at my transmission. Last week first gear was slipping in my gym parking lot. Otherwise transmission has felt pretty solid. To my surprise when I called to check they said clutch packs 2-6 were nuked. Gm is rebuilding the transmission under warranty. Car has less than 40k on it and has not been abused. Only mods are catback. What could have caused this?

Typically a heavy right foot causes that.

Well in this case it must be something else. This car has never been driven hard.

Maybe too much slipping of the clutch on take offs and shifts.

Really not to many causes.

Low fluid? or very dirty fluid?

What did the dealership suggest as the reason?

My guess is that you don't know that clutch packs are part of an automatic.

He acts like the biggest jackass on here and I just love when he sticks his giant dumb foot in his giant dumb mouth.

Sometimes Marines have a sense of humor that normal people will not get. Leave him alone.

On the trans, it could have just been an issue with the trans from day one. Nothing can be done to prevent it if there is something wrong. That is why they have the warranty on it. You should be good to go when they get it back to you.

Yea it is, you don't really know how much stuff has blown up around us, so we can be off kilter some times.

You can make this about marines if you'd like but that's not at all what I'm talking about. You have your opinion of him, I have mine. We'll just have to agree to disagree.

THANK YOU

I played golf with three street cops one time. Pick up round at the muni.

It was an enlightening walk. They tend to let off steam differently.

Rather threatening in some ways, enjoyed the round nevertheless.
