Default High coolant temp after change

Did a coolant change this weekend. Went for a 3 mi drive and I must have had a lot of air in the system. Coolant temp peaked at 248F then dropped back to below 240F by the time I got home. Finally got it burped and properly filled. Temp is now running normal 192-194F. Everything seems ok after a 100mi trip. My question is do I have anything to worry about after having the temp go that high for a few minutes?

Highly doubtful. Some of the supercharged guys in hot climates have seen those types of temps sitting in traffic and nothing went boom.
