C6 brake caliper dust boot question
Hey guys forgive me but I have to ask. I have followed 3-4 threads on the C6 caliper rebuild. They talk vaguely about getting the boot to go back in. So my question is on the dust boot.
I have the 2 center boots on my front caliper that don't exactly fit flush. They stick out maybe a MM or 2. Is that acceptable? Don't want to have to do this anymore! Thanks.
Pics for reference.

Looks like the dust boot is not seated all the way in the channel correctly.
Plus, not seeing any signs of the boot being greased before it was installed (what allows it to slip into the channel all the way cleanly).
Hence some of the after market boot seals will sit a little proud, but the your looks to be too proud/not fully seated in the channel instead.
FYI, make sure that you have the inner seal the correct direction as well!!!
