Electrical issue(s)?? ABS/TC/Ice Possible/High Voltage
2006 Z06
I have some strange intermittent messages appearing when I put my foot down hard, and they seem to appear more and more frequent.
Sometimes they appear together, sometimes on their own or a combination of them:
- Service ABS
- Service Traction Control
- Ice Possible
- High Voltage (Voltage increase to ~17 and blipping the throttle seems to get it down to ~14 again)
- HUD flickers (disappears for a sec)
More info for analysis
- The only code it throws is P0300 (Random Misfire)
- If it matters, right front tire pressure sensor is out/need of calibration
- Apart from random High Voltage sessions, it sits stable at ~14V
Any help of where to start is highly appreciated!
Looking for the low hanging fruit to begin with.

Further input,
Yesterday I got at least one of the messages/issues above every time I put the foot down. Today I turned the Traction Control off and did not get a single issue after that. Turned it on again and still no issues.
Seems strange to me, Yesterday I was thinking of bad ground or loose connection somewhere, Today I have no idea.

Thanks for the response,
No, I have yet to start checking wires, pretty new to the car so I have lots to learn of what to check and where.
Are you thinking of bad ground connections (like https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...locations.html)
or some other plug wire?

Melting Slicks
Sounds like a electrical connection/ground issue. First check the battery is good, get a load test; check battery cables and their connections to the battery/stater/ground. The soleniod on the starters are know to melt and create a loose connection with the positive cable showing all types of glitches. Look over the alternator's connections and the wire harness. I found mine routed to tight and cause some chafing of the wires.
There are a lot of connectors with regards to the controlling modules that could cause glitches also. Pull back the passenger side carpet just under the glove box, and you'll see what I'm talking about.
If you pull these apart, look for dirty/corrosion or alignment of the pins inside the connectors, but disconnect the battery before you start checking these items.

You could try checking your ALT SENS fuse under the hood. Mine blew and caused high/erratic voltage and threw all kinds of lights

The problem disappeared before I got the time to start doing all the checks suggested in this thread. Drove it for four months with no issues and then I sold it since I needed the cash for investments.
So, sorry for not being able to be of more help on this matter. Best of luck in solving it!
