Default C6 grandsport clutch hydraulic issue

So i was at the track doing roll races and when i went to shift from second to third the pedal went right to the floor, grinded trying to get into third and then i let off. Unfortunately the pedal never came back up. I have zero pedal pressure now. The clutch was still engaged after this happened and allowed me drive back to the pits. No slipping. Obviously i have a hydraulic issue. I have the stock slave and stock master clutch cylinders. The master still has fluid so it doesnt appear to be leaking. My car is a 2013

You might fall into the TSB/Recall category for clutch master cylinders. Takes some reading and research:

It's even funnier when you realize he always tells people to search stuff, but he made a thread asking how to get his intake manifold off...swell guy...

To answer your question, I seem to remember a thread where someone was having similar issues and it ended up being the cap on the master cylinder piston popped off the rod. I know there's a "revised" OEM master cylinder, not sure if yours has it or not, but worth looking in to.

that is funny. I am considering just putting the tick master clutch cylinder in and end these issues all together. Even before my issue yesterday the car is harder to shift when racing at high RPMs. I am sure long term those issues could cause transmission problems

The Tick may or may not help totally, as I remember reading that another issue is also the restriction of the OEM hydraulic line used.
May want to research this more..
There is also a helper spring that could cause your issue if it's broken, it can cause the pedal to resist coming back up.
You can see the spring up high atop the clutch arm in this picture.

My helper spring broke and clutch pedal still returned. Either his slave cylinder is bad or the clutch master cylinder blew a seal. Hopefully, the new service bulletin will cover the clutch master cylinder.

Yeah I hope it is just the master. I am going to order a adjustable master and see if that brings it back to life.

You want to change the master first, trust me.

It is 100% your master cylinder.

Tick would be an excellent idea. Let us know if it solves your issue.

Can you pull the clutch pedal back up? Mine used to sink to the floor when it got hot at the track, i would flush the fluid and it would be ok for a little while. I heard it's a problem with the ls7 clutch assembly. Haven't had the problem since switching to a twin disc.

I swapped a master in a friends car (07Z) last week. It had the same issue, only I had to replace it again about 5 days later. He had got his oil replaced somewhere and I can only assume they put the wrong fluid in accident or not as we seen little chunks of debris in the reservoir. I flushed about 2 liters of cheap (kleenflo) dot 3 fluid the old system with pressure, then swapped with another new MC. Then flushed again but this time with wilwood Dot4 and I hope it will be good. A little worried about the slave but we will see I guess.
