Default LS7 Manifolds on GS with Cat Back exhaust?

Would LS7 manifolds and cats bolt up to a GS M6 that has a Borla ATAK cat back exhaust? Obviously LT headers would be preferred over the LS7 manifolds, but LT headers usually come with a higher pitched raspy tone and drone. One would hope that the LS7 manifold would yield a slightly louder, but not obnoxious sound with a slight gain in HP.

Yes will bolt on to the heads but you must use the ls7 X pipe as well.

The ATAK with cats not as loud.

I put a complete ZR1 exhaust on my 11 GS mn6 dry sump. Manifolds bolted right up. I added NPP with factory ZR1 mufflers. Worked GREAT, really woke up the LS3
The ZR1 mid pipe is a true X the LS7 pipe is a H

But then it sounds like I would need to modify the LS7 X pipe to work with the rest of the ATAK exhaust system.

That's what I want to do but I want to keep the ATAK exhaust. I want a louder but deeper tone than what the ATAK currently provides. Just not thrilled on the sound the LTs provide on these cars. Too high pitched for my liking.

The LS9/LS7 pipes are 3" you will have to neck down to the 2 1/2 used on the LS3.

I liked the ZR1 exhaust so much I got rid of the GS and bought the rest of the ZR1!

In 2011, the Z06 came with an X pipe and ZR1 mufflers (although a different part #) both having solid pipe going through the muffler. So basically, the Z06 and ZR1 shared the same 3" exhaust. In 2012, the X pipe had the additional cats.

I was in the same boat as you, but I wanted to keep the BB Fusion exhaust I have. I went with the LS7 manifolds/cats/h-pipe and then had a muffler shop modify the h-pipe and add 3"x2-1/2" reducers to mate up to the Fusion. I do love the sound of it. It's slightly louder with the Fusion closed and more so with it opened. This did deepen the tone of the exhaust which actually lessened the drone of the Fusions in both the closed and opened positions.
