Ok my dumb *** found the formula, jacking up the motor + 1/2 x 3/8 socket reducer + 3/8 swivel ratchet = sanity

Yep that works.

For future reference, bring #1 to TDC before installing the head.

Funny thing is that I did but I was not a 100% sure where I was at on the cam lope so I turn the motor.

You may want to turn the motor over by hand again sometime. I think it would be worthwhile to shorten a socket as much as possible, weld a flat bar onto it for a handle and have a dedicated tool.

Procycle, I am going to cut down a socket that's for sure. The ARP crank bolt is a big boy 1 1/16th 12 point.

I have also used a crow foot socket on them before, it's slow going but works in a pinch. Not sure how well it would work with an arp bolt though.

With the right size extension you can get it on the crank bolt just barely.

I was doing some research last night and I found a post from Randy@DRM. Randy said he uses the alternator to turn the motor with a bit more tension on the belt. Anyways, moving forward on my build. I finally got my measurements for my pushrods and ordered them through Mamo Performance. Tony was alot of help during this entire process, thank you Tony!

Getting closer, I had my FAST ported by fellow forum member Spinmonster recently.

I blacked out my ugly OEM valve covers.

In the days to come I have a side project with my suspension. I'll be installing Johnny O Connell shocks on all four corners and a set of LG Motorsports sway bars with their special end links ( thanks Amir).

My Manton pushrods came in today. When it cools down (104 degrees now) I'll slap these bad boys on and finish my install

Last night I put together my Yella Terra rockers and pushrods got the all torqued down but one set. I fubarred one rocker bolt hole but I pretty sure I got it back to supporting condition. Here is a quick picture of my valve train jewelry.

Are you able to drive it or will it need a tune first?
