Spoke with the seller , the engine was in fact a "STICK" and that is the OE harness for a stick. and THEY put the flexplate on.. He is searching to see if he has the correct harness...
I will continue my work on getting to the bottom of C-184...

Here are some connector lists that may help you. The Mitchell ones print out better, but the GM one I included all of the connectors (big document).

This is fun to watch from afar...great project. For the second fob, here's the instructions...not sure if you had them already...

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...tructions.html

Lots of troubleshooting info too.

PS, glad I'm watching from afar because I have no idea when it comes to putting an engine into a C6, so I wouldn't be any help at all if I lived next door to you...

Default Closer but I fear no CIGAR

OWWWOWWWWW OWWWW brain hurt
Ok page 1 is what I NEED to convert to.
Boxes in GREEN are a direct transfer ( but I haven't built the scramble sheet ) . However there is ALOT of stuff missing in the STICK harness and stuff I do NOT need.

This " workup " has taught me ALOT.. and we went from wild *** guess it MIGHT work to 11 of 23 those bits WILL work.

Still not there yet….

Gut hunch there is ALOT of pass thru wiring that COULD have been part of an external harness…but that's more connectors etc etc.

It seems that a correct harness will be my best bet for long term serviceability. ( IF I CAN FREAKIN FIND ONE ) ...

I could HACK this harness and mate it to what's left of my engine harness but now I would have a BOATLOAD of splices between the firewall and the forward bell housing ( BAD IDEA ).

Tomorrow, Have the new rear meats installed & Glass guy @ 2 ~ 4

Glad to hear you got the right harness. splices on modern harnesses can make life fun. Great project following along and can't wait to see the smiling drive by video at the end.

Wire harness? voodoo to me. Hot dogs--great! ATI, too bad, great product, may have to go stock or some other mfr. Progress Made---glass, tires, etc.? Great, too! Keepin' on!!!

BTW saw this in C6 Parts for Sale. Maybe a reasonable but lower than retail price offer?

Good! Suggestion: just in case he sees his email more than a PM, click on his name, notice that he actually has a 'send email' and send him an email, too. May catch his eye! Good luck.

Good info...I was thinking about that...

I suppose it makes sense that a 6 rib belt would be OK on an 8 rib pulley but the reverse would not work.
