Default LS7 Block casting

Can anyone tell me exactly where the 7.0 is cast on an LS7 block, or a picture would be good. Thanks Aussiemartin.

Thanks Steve. We are trying to find an easy way to identify LS7 blocks without dismantling anything. Our Off Road Racing Pro class only allows up to 6 litres. Ideally we would like to be able to identify them quickly and easily in scrutineering. I have a list of the block casting numbers for 6.0, 6.2 and 7.0 litre motors, but I am not sure if it is complete, or if this a reliable way of checking. Obviously if the number was ground off, that would get us interested, but we then need other identifying features to confirm. Thanks again, Martin.

Considering all LS blocks could be 4.8-7.4L with just swap of internals/sleeves/pistons I'm not sure if looking at a block is going to tell you much.

My block says 5.3 on it but it's resleeved and stroked to a 7.0

The only way would be to use a CID tester like this one. The procedure would be to remove all the spark plugs and put this in one cylinder. Then remove the rockers for that cylinder and boom u got it.

You might not do this for everyone, maybe just say all class winners will be tested for CID or something. This is obliviously and intrusive test.

Thanks guys. I realise the internals can easily changed to increase the capacity but if we could easily identify LS7's externally, it would simplify things.
Thank you all for your input, Martin.

This marking is also stamped on the front passenger side of the block as well. You can see it with the car on a rack using a light. It's tucked behind the water pump outlets.
