Best cam for a stock LS2?
I want a cam and would like to know which would go best with a stock LS2. Other than the cam I may supercharge it in the future, What will I need for the cam? What are the estimated hp gains? Thank you for your help everyone.

Tell us about your car, like weight, transmission and mods already performed to it (not JUST the engine) .....and tell us your goals and projected use for the car.

Its an auto and just the SLP Loudmouth exhaust (if that is considered a performance mod) everything else is mostly cosmetics. It is my daily driver but I want to try and get the most hp out of it as possible and try to hit around the 600-700 hp mark, but more wouldn't hurt. I'm not trying to take the engine out and do some crazy build either.

Why bother with a cam? You can make that with long tubes, SC kit and meth injection and never have to open the engine.

Lots of choices on long tubes.. ARH/LG on the high end, Hinson/OBX on the low end. Any of them will work IMO. Vararam just came out with some too that look nice.
Meth injection injects methanol after you're over a certain amount of boost basically. It's a source of high octane fuel to help prevent knock.
The issue with running boost on a higher compression engine like these is the risk of spark knock which will destroy pistons quick. Meth injection helps with that.
Very common around here.

Do some research on here too. Lots of great info. Remember, most cams you get you will also need to rebuild the heads. You also have to consider traction with that much HP. Read alot of stories on here about people walking their cars sideways into curbs or other cars because there is more power and not enough sticky.

I am new to Corvettes and this forum so lots to learn. I however have done all my own work on my Harleys. I can tell you the majority of cams don't come on until you are very high in the rpm range, great for racing crappy for street riding (driving). I always put the low end torque cams in my bikes and in will do the same in my car. I want to drive it not race it. And I want a kick in the seat as early on through acceleration as possible.
A lot of cams are designed to work with other mods as well. Think of it like one of your wife's outfits shoes match the dress etc....
First figure out what you want the car to do and how you intend to use it. Then pick your mods.

Well That's Good To Hear, I Want A Good Torque Cam That Comes on under 3000 rpm without head work. Sound like there must be lots of choices. Any recommendations?

For reference, I had a 228/232 114+2 cam in my LS2 and with 9.5psi it made 646rwhp and 596 rtrq with and ECS kit and meth and trapped 137 in the 1/4 mile. Like stated above you don't need a cam to hit your goal, but a cam helps. Give ECS a call
