Default 104 fuel in 2005 LS2 6.0 Z51

I've mixed 104 and 91 octane in my car.
I have the Z51 package, CAI, straight pipes and it has a superchip installed in it. It runs like a raped ape! Will that fuel do harm to my car?
Thanks guys!
Mike

It's programmed to run no less than 91 from the Superchip recommendations.

What was the ratio of 104 to 91? If you uploaded the 91 octane Superchips tune, the race fuel is a waste because octane alone won't get you more power. I believe the Superchips canned tune is set for a max of 93 so anything more than that would also be a waste.

Did you mean 104 octane boost or actual 104 octane gas?

104 booster and I'm not sure what that superchip flashback maxes out after. I just know that I remember seeing that they do not recommend any lower the 91. I put about a half tank of 91 in and F bottle of 104 booster. It seems to have a woken it up that's for sure! Will that do any harm?

Harm? No probably not. But it also isn't doing you much good either. I don't recall how much 104 is supposed to boost your octane to but it is NOT 104 octane. Boost additives play the word game with their advertising. If they claim it will boost your octane 1 point, that just means you're going from 91 octane to 91.1 octane. Not 91 to 92. It takes a 10 point increase to raise 1 octane and most boosters aren't getting you that. Torco and a few others are the exception but they also have their drawbacks. If you have the Superchips 91 tune, running more than 91 wont add power. With your mod list you don't need more octane if you can regularly fill up with 91. Save your money for other power mods.

There are some good fuel/octane discussions on here worth reading. I'll see if I can find them but a search will provide you with plenty of money saving info.

Thx for the info. Before I chipped the car I had put 104 in the car and could tell the diff but didn't know it was only a point. Good to know. Appreciate. Next mod is a cam and long tubes. Not sure what direction to go on brands and size of cam(just don't want the cam that sounds like the car is about to stall but that drum roll sound 💪&#127996 thx man

Octane booster (or high octane gas) does you no good if your car isn't set up to utilize it. You typically see people using high octane fuel to run more boost, nitrous, or higher compressor. Just dumping it in with no supporting mods is throwing away money.
