Default Need advice on tire size before purchasing

Hello, I have a 2005 C6 with the 1SB Package (full loaded). I am looking for new tires and want them wider, I know this has come several times but I just want to be sure before pulling the trigger, I am looking for the following tires:

255/40/18 - Front
295/35/19 - Rear

Will they fit without problem?

Please let me know.

Thanks!!!

You will be ok.

Normally manufactures but the tire on the rim with a leeway for one size down and up, regarding the width of the tire.

It is not recommended going more that one size jump though.

Just for thought I went up to 265 and 305 on 10 and 11 in wide rims.

Stock is 8.5 and 10 in.

I did not like the way the car handled. It steered heavier.

Might be find for the track but with my driving I like the stock width better. I did go back to stock.

I doubt if you will feel much difference with one size up in width.

The tire, depending on the rim guard bead, might not protect as well with the wider tire.

.
I did the same with 9.5" and 10.5" wheels, 10" and 11" I think are a better choice, but Michelin said that my combo was OK.
