Default wanting to upgrade my 2006 coupe

i was interested if anyone ran into issues with upgrading to a mild cam and tune on a 2006 corvette. i was told that the trans can not handle the upgrade from 2005-2008. has anyone heard of this?
thank you in advance!

no a very respected corvette master tech. said there were issues with building a modified ls2 because the transmssion wont hold. I held his opinion very high but, with that being said could not understand i see a ton of folks talking about cam, headers, tune, etc. and even underhood turbo or blowers...

i truly wanted to do cam, and a tue, like a stage 2...but didnt want to kill the car for it is my toying around car with the wife. i wanted something with a little kick, nothing crazy.

You will burn your clutch before you break the trans of a properly cared for T56.
The T56 is a decently stout trans. The later 6060 is supposed to be stronger and seems to be little stronger but when the time comes to upgrading you can upgrade the T56 cheaper and easier and bigger than you can the 6060.

The T56 is plenty strong for non FI (forced induction/super/turbo charger) applications.

I have an '07 that i installed a Comp Cam XER273H14. 224/230 .595 lift 114LSA. Chose that cam because it would pass California emission and I didn't need a torque converter change. It sounds cammy but idles very well and is very driveable.
