cam labor?
I already have an aftermarket cam installed but I just bought a novi 1500 kit. If I decide to have the shop swap the cam during the install for a blower cam how much additional labor is involved? springs and rods done already. Thanks

Probably about 6-8 hours as they'll want to charge but realistically I think it could be done much faster.

You don't rush it when doing heart surgery.
A lot of work involved here, radiator out and HB pulled takes a little more time.

No, just the bolt to drill and insert pin.
OP: If the cam works great NA, it should work (at least) good with boost. Mind sharing cam specs on whats already installed?

It doesn't have to come out, but you have to get enough access to it to pin it. You don't necessarily have to do all the labor required to get access to the cam, but if you're going that far and want a new cam you're only looking at a couple extra hours work.

If you are already there, put on a balancer that won't have the chances of failing like a stocker and make you go in again.

you don't need the cam and will be much better with meth at that power level

Pretty much the exact cam i have in my 6.0 G8GT. Good manners but pulls like a demon at around 3000 and great gas milage if you just cruise.
