Not very many have been reported in the C6 General section. 2 or 3 people reported a problem with the F55 suspension, several couldn't play CDs above track 9, wiper on passenger side won't fold all the way back, several had distorted or no sound from speakers in driver's side door.

Just a recall on all the trannys in the Z51s, that's all.

I'm pretty sure that was just minor problem with noise when shifting into 5th gear on a limited consecutive number of 6-spd trannys. Haven't heard of a recall of delivered C6s.

They shut the plant down because of it. I do believe there is a recall also. I don't hang out in C6 general much, so there may be new info.

The plant was shut down for part of one day. Not all Z51s have manual trannies. I've got a manual tranny and I haven't been notified of any recall. Last we heard in C6 General, it was a limited no. of trannies, not all of them. The biggest problem right now is replacing the trannies in the cars pulled because of the grinding noise. Those cars are supposedly all in the lot at BG.

Not really a problem, but it's a real pain that the tuning software isn't ready yet Wait a few more months, and see what the guys start breaking. It shouldn't take long till somebody throws enough power at the car to grenade something

One member seems to be having problems with his C6. See the following post from C6 General Discussion.

No, they shut down the plant due to a broken drive belt.

Default No Problems In 3,500 Miles

I picked up my Z51 6-speed atg the Museum on September 7 and drove it home. It now has over 3,500 miles on it, and has been PROBLEM FREE! I broke it in for 500 miles, then ran 85-90 all the way home, averaging 25.5 mpg. Everything works as designed, and the car is a whole lot quieter than my '02. The biggest improvements are: 1) the shift linkage, 2) the additional sound insulation, and, 3) the quieter tires.

Thanks, Chevy, for doing it right - the first time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a problem @150 miles with a loose damper on the crank... repairs took 2 weeks(no parts available) Had same problem @ 450 miles.. GM Powertrain eng. says they think they might be able to fix with a diamond embedded washer , maybe? but it will probably happen again! When it does they want to pull the engine!!!! Where do they get these guys? Had 2 more on order don't think I'll take them ... Should have waited on my GT-40!!!
