Actually, after I ordered my splitter from you guys, I checked with Gene and he won't sell me a re-enforcement piece because I am not buying the ZR1 splitter from him. So It looks like we need to find another source for that.

No because there's people like me who ordered the ZR1 splitter from him who are still waiting for the re-enforcement. That's actually good business

I have bought parts from Gene in the past and he always came through...so I was quite surprised that he actually told me that! I am going to be looking for another place this week to get one!

He has to come through for other people first, that's just how it is.

I understand if you're already waiting for one...but to refuse to sell some one a part because they didn't buy a specific part from you is bad business and a good way to lose future business. He could have just told me that he has a back order on them and doesn't know when he will have them available rather than saying, "he wouldn't sell one to me because I didn't buy the ZR1 splitter from him." This is just amazing to me especially since RPI recommended him for the purchase!!!

I can see your point and maybe he can only get enough re-enforcements for the people who ordered splitters. Could be a 1-1 deal through GM since he is one of the only suppliers of this part to people outside of a ZR1 ownership. You know it's just a matter of time before these things will be flooded on the market. I have my ZR1 carbon fiber splitter just sitting around waiting for the re-enforcement to be in stock. Good luck on the find and I bet Gene will come through

I agree that he needs to satisfy current customers first but, it looks like he refused to sell the part without the splitter purchase.


We can only hope that a 1 for 1 deal from GM is behind this. If so, Gene should let it be known that his hands are tied.

Well, the couple times I have worked with him, he was great help. Especially seeing how I am deployed and still everything went smoothly. Not everything is under his control and he's done great things for this site.

We've got a bunch more ready to go! We'll paint them and ship them right away for you. Remember if you aren't a circuit racer you don't need a brace, that is for prolonged high speed runs. 120+.
