Default Z06 Pricing in Canada

Just spoke to a dealer in Toronto that I have dealt with before. Seems the pricing for the new Z06 in Canada has been set at $102,985.99 CDN dollars plus GST & PST. Just $1000.00 less than the Cadillac XLR. Orders can be taken in Toronto/Mississauga area at the end of May, with deliveries expected by late Sept early Oct.

Also the 07 Z06 is rumoured to be all-wheel drive!!!!!!!!!!!! Same horsepower though.

Just some food for thought.

ps. the CDN dollar price would roughly equal $83,000.00 USD....

Well if they make AWD the engine will have to be in the hood, and a new front suspension.

Yes, good point about the AWD...didn't think it was even possible with a front engine car let alone Gm type standards....
pricing seems a bit high in the US.....chances are up north though the price is dead accurate..

If that pricing is accurate I guess the General is taking on the notion of let's start high and see what happens.......in my case I'll be sticking with the C6 coupe!

Never convert Candaian dollars back to US dollars for a propsed selling price in the USA. Each country has its own price strategy and converted rate is not reflective. This is also true with European cars.

Thats a ridiculous price in CDN money. No offense boys but I cant see myself spending 100K on a Vette, ANY Vette. Considering the depreciation over time . I spent less than 1/5th of that on a car that is going up in value, and for about another 10k in upgrades Ill have a car with more power, similar handling, and even more factor. I love the Z06, amazing car, but if I got up into the 6 digits, Id wait for a few more Gs and grab an AMG Mercedes, Porshe 911 GT3, or something in that range. Vettes have awesome performance, but the interior has a lot to be desired for a 6 digit car, not to mention this is the FIRST year of a new model, and there will be bugs... not for me.

Sorry, I call BS on that. I,ve got a $ 5000.00 deposit on a new Z at
Dueck's in Vancouver. The price has not been set. It's no different here than in the States. The price structure will be announced in June and orders will be taken in July. The Canadian Price on a Vette is usually about $ 7000.00 more in Canadian Dollars. If the base price is 65K in the US then the CA price will be around $ 85 t0 88K.

Huh? You do realize that a base coupe lists for 80+K Canadian, right? I don't think that 100K Canadian is necessarily out of line for our pricing. I wouldn't pay it - but it isn't unreasonable, considering the pricing of the stock C6.

BTW on my contract for the new Z my price is guaranteed to be
MSRP, so no dealer ripoff.

That is funny - interesting how the cars that make it onto all the lots end up having every option in the book, and thus the new price is 80K - dealers are such rip-off artists - I'm glad you're guaranteed at MSRP - you have some hope - but I still think that with taxes, you'll be over 100K!

Yea taxes are a problem. 7% GST, 7% PST and 3% Luxury Tax. But to get around the taxes up front, you lease the car and only pay a percentage of tax on a monthly basis. If you get rid of the car say in 3 years , you've only paid a portion of the taxes. If you buy, you pay all the taxes up front and you won't get them back after 3 years. As well you invest the difference between your down payment on the lease and what you would have paid cash and that income will offset your lease costs.

Why would GM release Corvette pricing in Canada and not in the US? They wouldn't. We will find out a day or two after the USA...and I would bet it is about $89,000 Cdn. for our one model only Z06.

the 04 Z was 85000 so 89000 seems right to me. That puts it at near 73000 UsD only a few hundred off my guess at 72225 US

Do you really think it will only be 4K more than the 04 model, in Canadian dollars?

Yeah I think it will, give or take a bit. Mr Hill says we will be surprised and 89K CDN (20K more than I paid for my 02 Z)would be a nice surprise. Where do you think the price will land?

I just saw a few C6s on the lots today - base price is about 67K. So I think you're on the money at 89K - how do you like that for a flip flop?
